FIA Sargodha Circle Arrests Three Suspects in Alleged Overseas Job and Umrah Fraud Cases

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Sargodha Circle, has reportedly arrested three individuals in separate alleged fraud cases involving overseas employment and Umrah travel promises, according to publicly available reports.

Officials say the arrests were made during separate operations in different parts of the district, with investigations continuing.

Alleged Portugal Job Scam

According to FIA officials, one suspect allegedly collected Rs. 2.4 million from four close relatives after promising to arrange employment opportunities in Portugal. The promised jobs were reportedly never provided, leading to the registration of a case.

Alleged Saudi Arabia Job Fraud

In another case, FIA arrested a suspect accused of allegedly obtaining Rs. 1 million from friends by claiming he could secure jobs for them in Saudi Arabia.

Authorities allege the promised employment opportunities did not materialize.

Alleged Umrah Travel Fraud

A third suspect was reportedly arrested for allegedly collecting Rs. 848,000 from three relatives after promising to arrange Umrah travel to Saudi Arabia.

FIA officials say further legal action is underway in all three cases.

Public Advisory

Authorities continue to advise the public to:

  • Verify overseas employment offers through official government channels.
  • Use licensed overseas employment promoters and authorized travel agencies.
  • Avoid making advance payments without proper documentation.
  • Report suspected fraud to the relevant authorities.

Conclusion

The reported arrests highlight the importance of verifying overseas job offers and travel arrangements before making financial commitments. As investigations continue, authorities encourage citizens to remain vigilant and seek information only from authorized sources.
