The Punjab government has launched an expanded effort under the She Threads initiative with an allocation of Rs. 310 million to empower rural women through specialized textile industry training.

Currently operating in Lahore, Sialkot, Sheikhupura, and Faisalabad, the initiative offers 10 specialized textile courses designed to improve practical skills and increase employability.

Over the last two years, around 2,500 women have completed the training program, with hundreds successfully securing jobs in the textile sector.
